Okushal was conceived and created by a small group of close friends who had, recently and previously, experienced moments and periods of renewal. These experiences have come in different forms. Sometimes they’ve been fleeting, other times life-changing. Sometimes shared, and other times very personal. But they’ve always lifted our spirits and left us feeling changed. Recharged, revived, refreshed, reinvigorated, reinvented, renewed. Okusha means ‘new’ in Zulu. We wanted to do something to capture that. To embrace it. To express it. And mostly, simply, to toast it. We made Okushal to celebrate the new in us and in so doing created The Taste of Freedom™.
